Head Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. You will oversee food preparation, menu development, staff management, and ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, create, and update menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences.

Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance reviews.

Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control to maintain quality and consistency.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Monitor inventory, order ingredients, and manage kitchen supplies efficiently.

Control food costs, reduce waste, and work within budgetary guidelines.

Collaborate with management on marketing and promotional events involving the kitchen.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

Resolve kitchen-related issues and customer complaints promptly.

Lead by example to motivate and inspire the kitchen team.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a reputable restaurant.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.

Good understanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and budgeting.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
