We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Material Purchaser to handle the sourcing, ordering, and tracking of food supplies, kitchen equipment, and other essential materials for our restaurant. You will ensure timely procurement at the best value while maintaining quality standards.
Source and negotiate with suppliers for fresh ingredients, packaging, and kitchen materials.
Place orders based on inventory levels and usage forecasts.
Maintain records of purchases, pricing, delivery timelines, and stock levels.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to understand daily and weekly material needs.
Inspect deliveries to ensure accuracy, freshness, and quality of goods.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain good vendor relationships.
Ensure timely restocking of critical items without over-purchasing.
Stay updated on market prices and availability of key ingredients.
Work within budget and minimize wastage or spoilage.
Experience in purchasing, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with food safety and storage standards.
Basic understanding of restaurant kitchen operations.
Proficient in using inventory or purchasing software (Excel, POS systems, etc.).
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
