Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wok Chef to prepare and cook authentic stir-fry dishes and other wok-based specialties in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have expertise in high-heat cooking techniques and maintaining flavor, texture, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using wok techniques such as stir-frying, deep-frying, and searing.

Ensure all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking according to recipes.

Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.

Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

Monitor stock levels of wok-related ingredients and report shortages.

Clean and maintain wok station, equipment, and kitchen area.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Follow food safety and kitchen cleanliness protocols.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Wok Chef or similar role in an Asian/Chinese kitchen.

Strong skills in wok cooking techniques and handling high temperatures.

Good knowledge of ingredients, sauces, and spices used in Asian cuisine.

Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Team player with good communication skills.

Ability to stand for long hours and handle physical demands of the kitchen.
