Key Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming shopping atmosphere.
  • Assist customers in selecting home décor items that match their needs and preferences.
  • Offer styling advice and suggest complementary products to enhance the customer’s home design.

Product Knowledge:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the store's product range, including materials, styles, and care instructions.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and usage.

Sales:

  • Promote and upsell products to achieve sales targets.
  • Process transactions efficiently using the store's point-of-sale system.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and inquiries in line with store policies.

Merchandising and Store Presentation:

  • Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and organized.
  • Create attractive product arrangements to highlight key items and seasonal collections.
  • Assist in setting up promotional displays and in-store events.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the manager.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock deliveries.

Customer Service:

  • Address customer complaints and feedback professionally, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regular customers to encourage repeat business.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store objectives.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on products and store policies.

General Duties:

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including safety and security procedures.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge or interest in home décor and interior styling.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a flair for aesthetics.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
