The Account Assistant supports the finance team by performing basic accounting and clerical tasks such as data entry, document filing, invoice preparation, and account reconciliation. This role helps ensure that financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Assist in data entry of payment vouchers, receipts, and invoices
Prepare simple accounting documents (e.g. payment slips, billing statements)
Perform basic reconciliations (e.g. petty cash, supplier statements)
Help manage filing of financial records and audit documents
Assist in tracking accounts payable and receivable
Support senior accounts staff in month-end closing
Liaise with suppliers and vendors on outstanding payments
Operate accounting software (e.g. AutoCount, SQL, UBS)
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Good organizational and filing skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or accounting software
Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines
