The Tire Building Operator is responsible for assembling tire components into green (uncured) tires using manual or semi-automated tire building machines. The operator ensures quality and consistency in tire construction by following standardized work instructions, safety guidelines, and production targets.
Operate tire building machines to produce green tires according to specifications.
Prepare and load tire components (e.g., tread, inner liner, beads, plies) onto the machine accurately.
Monitor machine operation and product quality throughout the tire-building process.
Perform visual inspections and measurements to ensure tire specifications are met.
Report any equipment malfunction or material defects to the supervisor or maintenance team.
Adhere to safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete production logs, quality records, and downtime reports accurately.
Work collaboratively with other operators, quality technicians, and maintenance personnel.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality management systems.
Participate in continuous improvement activities and training programs as required.
Education: Minimum SPM or equivalent. Technical/vocational training is an advantage.
Experience:
Prior experience in tire manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
Fresh graduates with technical aptitude may be considered with proper training.
Ability to read technical specifications and interpret work instructions.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Basic mechanical understanding of machine operation.
