The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas of a facility or premises. This role ensures all workspaces, restrooms, and public areas are clean, sanitary, and presentable at all times.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas.
Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and restrooms.
Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to guidelines.
Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
Wash windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
Follow daily cleaning schedules and checklists.
Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Able to work independently or in a team.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling.
Willingness to work shifts or flexible hours (if required).
Work is performed indoors and sometimes outdoors depending on location.
Use of cleaning tools and chemicals is required (PPE provided).
May involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
