The Curing Operator is responsible for operating curing presses to vulcanize green tires or rubber products into their final form. The operator ensures that curing cycles are followed precisely to meet product quality, safety, and production standards.
Load green tires (uncured) into curing molds/presses according to work instructions.
Operate and monitor curing machines (steam or hydraulic presses) based on set parameters (time, temperature, pressure).
Unload cured tires/products, visually inspect for defects, and transfer to the next process.
Ensure correct mold, bladder, and press setup based on the production plan.
Perform basic press maintenance (e.g., cleaning molds, lubricating equipment).
Record production data, curing parameters, and inspection results accurately.
Immediately report abnormalities such as mold defects, improper curing, or machine issues.
Follow safety procedures including proper use of PPE and lockout/tag-out practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the curing area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
Cooperate with maintenance, quality, and other production teams to achieve production targets.
Education: Minimum SPM or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in manufacturing is an advantage.
Experience:
1–2 years in tire curing or rubber manufacturing preferred.
Fresh candidates may be trained based on aptitude and interest.
Understanding of vulcanization process and basic curing principles.
Ability to operate industrial machinery and follow detailed SOPs.
Attention to detail for defect detection (e.g., blisters, undercured areas, mold marks).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit to perform repetitive loading/unloading tasks and work in hot environments.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
High-temperature environment with heat, steam, and machinery noise.
Physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and working near presses.
Use of safety gear such as gloves, safety shoes, ear protection, and heat-resistant clothing is mandatory.
Rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, may be required.
