The Branch Manager in the pharmaceutical industry is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a branch, including sales, distribution, compliance, inventory, and team performance. Key Responsibilities:
Branch Operations Management:
Oversee the smooth functioning of the pharmaceutical branch, including warehousing, inventory, logistics, and customer service.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and dispatch of pharmaceutical products in compliance with GMP/GDP (Good Manufacturing/Distribution Practices).
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Build relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and distributors.
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market share.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, and manage staff including sales executives, warehouse personnel, and admin teams.
Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide coaching.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control:
Ensure compliance with local drug laws, FDA/Health Authority guidelines, and company SOPs.
Monitor documentation for audits, inspections, and record-keeping.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
Manage stock levels, ordering, and expiry control to reduce wastage and ensure availability.
Coordinate with central warehouse and suppliers for timely deliveries.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare reports on sales performance, expenses, market trends, and competitor activity.
Analyze data to improve branch efficiency and profitability.
