The Account Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping, payment processing, financial reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements. This role supports the finance department in maintaining sound financial operations.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records: sales, purchases, expenses
Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management
Generate monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Assist in tax, SST, and audit documentation preparation
Ensure compliance with LHDN, SSM, and other statutory bodies
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and vendors when required
Use accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, UBS, etc.) for financial processing
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Competent in handling full sets of accounts
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
